About our Community Centre
A vibrant and welcoming space in the heart of the village

The Marshfield Community Centre Association (MCCA) is a registered charity (No. 297306) which owns and manages the Community Centre for the benefit of the residents of Marshfield and other local villages. It is administered and run by trustees with the help of a large number of volunteers.

The Centre is in the centre of the village and has outdoor space including a large car park and two electric car charging points. The indoor facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, toilets,  and flexible spaces which can be hired for regular activities and for one-off occasions for up to 220 people. The whole venue can be booked for large events. The Centre is very well used.

History

The Community Centre was built in 1991 following a long-running campaign by the residents to secure the land and the funding. It was developed to provide the village with a full sized sports hall, a second smaller hall, a large kitchen and a light and open foyer area. In 2003 it was extended to provide a carefully designed building for the Marshfield Pre-School. During 2011 a special sensory garden was developed for the pre-school to enjoy.
